[Installation] Known error: Dealer ID is invalid

This error occurs if an unknown dealer number was entered or the dealer number is not registered in the backend system.

Problem description


The entered dealer number is not accepted.


Dealer number (in combination with sales region) is unknown:

  • Dealer number is not correct
  • Combination of dealer number and sales region is not correct
  • Dealer number is not yet available in the POS.Digital backend (updates are deployed quarterly)


Solution

  1. Check the dealer number (5 digits, please enter leading 0)
  2. Check the selected sales region
  3. Use the following workaround

1. Enter the following information in the step “Dealer registration” (applies for ALL brands).


2. Enter the following information in the step “Dealer information”.


3. Create a ticket to request from your local IT Service Desk / Dealer Help Desk to update your dealer ID and sales region correctly after the installation.
