1. How can I order a POS.digital player?
Bechtle handles distribution of the POS.digital players. Register here and follow these steps to create your order:
Click on “New order” in your dashboard > Select your products and click on “Add to cart” > Click on “Next” and check your shopping cart > Enter the required PO# > Fill in the information about the payment terms > Add the shipping and billing address > Submit the documents > Confirm your order or save it for later
Request a quote.
Click on “Request a quote” in your dashboard > Select the item and add it to your shopping cart > Add the internal reference and information on the quote > Add the shipping and billing address > Confirm
2. How can I change the playlist of a POS.digital player?
This setting cannot be changed in the player wizard itself. To change the assigned playlist on a POS.digital player, please open a ticket (dealer network, BMW in-house) with the following details:
- Your request (e.g., change request from "BMW Highlight" to "BMW Entertainment").
- Your Box ID (This can be found on a sticker on the box. Usually, this ID starts with G6YK or BTDN).
- Your BuNo

3. How can I check the status of my POS.digital player?
You can connect a keyboard to your POS.digital player and press the F8 key to check the status of your player.
4. My POS.digital player is offline. How can I bring it back to the online status?
You can see the online status of your POS.digital player in the upper right corner of the screen. The letters and numbers (i19 in the example) are used for the support to identify the player. Please indicate these if necessary.
- Restart your player by pressing the on/off button or disconnecting the power supply. Your player will restart automatically after the power is restored.
If step 1. did not lead to a solution, proceed as follows: - Check the network connection:
Check if the LAN cable is properly attached to the player or that a Wi-Fi connection is established.
Check that the network cable is connected to a network.
If neither step 1. or step 2. has solved the problem, proceed as follows: - Please open a ticket (dealer network, BMW in-house) in case the offline status persists.
5. How do I proceed if my POS.digital player is defective?
Please open a ticket (dealer network, BMW in-house) and enter all required details (market, dealer number, Box IDs, contact details, short description of the defect). Details regarding your exchange can be obtained from the support staff.
6. How can I cancel a POS.digital player license?
Please open a ticket (dealer network, BMW in-house) and provide all relevant cancellation details (market, dealer number, Box IDs, contact details). The cancellation data will be forwarded to the general contractor, Evisco.
Please note that there is a cancellation period of “current month + two”.
7. How long has a POS.digital player been offline in order to appear in my offline player report?
POS.digital players show up in the offline report email notification once they have been disconnected from the server for over 72h.
8. How can I manage e-mail notifications from [email protected]?
POS.digital e-mail notifications aim to keep you posted about important updates such as offline players, new playlist releases, new available content and individual information relevant to your user group. You can set your preferred notifications in the “News center” settings in your POS.digital CMS account.
9. Which screen is recommended for the usage of POS.digital?
Hard requirements for POS.digital:
1. Technical specifications
- Display diagonal 46” to 49”
- At least Full HD resolution (1920x1080), preferably 4K
- HDMI input with HDMI 1. 4a standard (or higher)
- 700 candela/m2 (lower candela/m2 may have a negative impact on content visibility in bright showrooms)
- Support for Consumer Electronics Control (CEC)
2. Operational requirements
- 24/7 operational readiness
- Operating temperature range between 0 and 40°C with humidity of 10~80%
3. Additional touch display requirements
- Support for human interface devices (HIDs)
- Support for up to 10 parallel touch inputs is recommended (min. 4 touch inputs)
- Recognition of and support for standardised gestures (drag & drop, swipe, pinch, etc.)
- Low susceptibility to interference (e.g., caused by stray light)

10. How do I proceed if my HDMI switch does not show a picture or cannot be switched?
If you are using a POS.digital player in conjunction with an EVE (VPP) station, please use an HDMI switch to switch between the devices. Please check in the HDMI Switch Installation Guide if the installation was done correctly.
